Sweet Spring Garden

Happy Tuesday!  To kick off the week, I'd like to share some photos full of spring inspiration.  I recently had the pleasure of designing a garden-inspired baby shower for a sweet friend.  Ashley is a fun-loving mother-to-be who chose to use the ladybug (classic red & black) as the signature element.  We took her wish and designed a spring garden theme for her special day.  Take a look at the cute details from her shower.

Since none of us were really into the traditional baby shower games, we created a "Garden of Blessings".  (This is the before pic so you can see the set-up.)  I designed custom ladybug cards with red ribbons for the guests to write a blessing or piece of advice for the mother-to-be.  When a card was completed they tied it to the lattice.  (Check out the final look in the pics below.)  We also used it to display all of those sweet little clothes as the gifts were opened.

 

Our very talented friend, Tara, created a custom diaper cake in ladybug style!

 

Just look at these cute little petite fours!  A little bite-sized garden, and oh-so scrumptious!  Homestyle Bakery did a fantastic job, as always!
