Ashley (yes there is a real-life Ashley behind the site) and her team have been burning the midnight oil to bring a fresh new look to Ashley's Bride Guide (also known as ABG).
The new site is sophisticated, yet still has a touch of Ashley's vibrant personality. It is literally a one-stop planning resource. I love so much of ABG that it's difficult to pick my favorite feature, but I'll try to narrow it down to just a few! First let's take a look at why we have ABG. In Ashley's words "I created AshleysBrideGuide.com (ABG for short) to help you plan your Nashville wedding. For years, there wasn’t a single resource that placed ALL of the information on Nashville weddings in one helpful place. Yeah - there was The Knot, Wedding Channel and other online resources, but they were more inspiration than a “go-to” resource for Nashville weddings." And in my opinion, she really has put together a "go-to" resource for local information.
My favorite feature of the new ABG is the Inspiration Gallery. We all love to browse the uber-gorgeous photos on sites like Style Me Pretty or The Knot. But, don't they leave you wanting something you think you can't replicate here in your home-town? Don't get me wrong. The vendors that are featured on those national sites are talented professionals. But it does you no good to fall in love with a design feature if it's only available in California. Here is the beauty of the Inspiration Gallery on ABG - All of the photos feature weddings and events that were created for Nashville brides by Nashville vendors. Love a centerpiece you see? The vendor who created it will be listed with the photo so you can contact them. Wonder how a that lovely placecard was made? You will have the name of the stationer or DIY bride so you can drop them a line and ask your questions.
My second favorite feature - The daily Wedding Scoop. Ashley's Bride Guide brings you a new wedding tidbit every day. You may read about the importance of having a healthy marriage one day and a new farm venue the next. There's always a review of recent bridal events and features on local vendors and new wedding trends.
And last, but not least, the site gives you a handy Vendor Directory. It's all very easy to use. Each vendor listing includes good basic information on services and includes a link to the vendor's site. It's a good resource for finding some of the best wedding professionals in Nashville.
